The Computer Lab Facility

  • Well equipped computer centre with specialized labs of Database, Programming lab, Project lab, N/w lab, Computer Graphics & Multimedia and Linux lab. The huge lab has a facility where each student can have hands-on experience in practical applications that enhances the knowledge in the theory classes.
  • Licensed software like Microsoft Campus Agreement which includes Windows XP, MS Office, MS Visual Studio, MS SQL Server, MSDN. The Department is having other software like Oracle 9i, Linux 7.2, Windows NT, Windows 2003 Server Enterprise edition, Win proxy, Turbo C++, Java etc.
  • The Department is having dedicated leased lines of 2 Mbps for high speed internet connectivity throughout the labs & broadband connections are used as a backup and fault tolerant internet connectivity. The Department is having high-end G5 and G6 Series servers from accer with latest configuration. The Department maintains separate servers for Database, File, Print and Web.

Sports

  • Active involvement of students in Sports is a unique feature of the institute.
  • The students are encouraged to participate in sports activities. Institute has having excellent play grounds for outdoor games like Cricket, Foot ball, Volley ball, Basket ball and Badminton,kho-kho,100mtr & 400mtr run. In addition to this, Institute has also having facilities for indoor games like Table tennis, Carom, Chess, etc. 
  • Inter college girls Cricket tournament (Gally cricket) is also successfully organized. 
  • The students of the institute also participate in the Sports organized by the University. The institute organizes one week sports events every year.

Medical Facilities

  • The Institute provides health care to students, staff and their dependents within campus that includes first aid services and swift medical aid in an emergency. The severe cases are referred to Trimurti Multi-specialty hospital Junagadh. Medical consultation and medicines are provided for basic disorders.

The Classroom Facility

Qualified faculty members assigned with various theory subjects prepare course plans using the standard format provided by the institute with emphasis on 'learning' of the students. The instructional or lecture delivery of the faculty will be through a set of Educational Technology / Tools opted by the faculty. The lectures lay emphasis on the following:

  • Knowledge content (topics in the curriculum)

  • Utility value - application in real life

  • Latest developments

The classrooms are ably aided with comfortable step-up seating and latest teaching audio/visual tools to facilitate smooth transfer of knowledge. The classrooms provide the most conducive atmosphere for the dynamic and focused discussion. The Library Facility

  • A good working library is necessary at an educational institution. Our library is growing in value and use.
  • The library aims to facilitate learning, teaching, research, training and consultancy activities at the Institute. The library resource center is fully automated and for this we have specialized user-friendly library software called SOUL 2.0 The center has adopted latest information technologies like CD, DVD, Multimedia Kits, Bar-code Scanners, Text and Graphic Scanners. The user community has access to the entire collection through CD, DVD, Hard Disk, and Internet based access. The books are classified according to the Dewey decimal system .The Library is spread more than 500 sq. mt and located at the first floor of the main building. The computerization of the library is nearing completion and shortly all standard services like acquisition, searching and lending will be computerized

The Workshop Facility

  • Workshop @ OEC Campus is in itself a state-of-the-art designed space for students equipped with all the modern equipments & machines. Workshop has carpet area of more than 11000 sq.ft. under single roof. 

The Cafeteria Facility

  • College have big spacious cafeteria with 200 sitting arrangement. Fresh and nutritious meals are available for the students. Snacks and refreshments are also served to the students at subsidized rates. The eating point offers excellent menu in a comfortable and vibrant ambience and varied range. A right place of refreshment and interaction for students

Transportation Facilty 

  • The Institute provides convenient transport facility with sufficient pick up and drop points that are suitable to all. A fleet of buses ply between college and various locations of junagadh to pick and drop the students. This adds to both the safety of the students, maintaining the time schedules & eliminating the hazard of traveling on the Highway.
  • Separate bus facility is available for girl students and staff members too.

Stationary Store

  • The stationery store in the institute to make the course books and other reading materials available for the students. The on campus stationery store offers varied range of manuals, paper, file etc and stationary available to the students for their routine academic work.
